The State Government extends loans with 50 percent subsidies for the entrepreneurship development programme under the National Livestock Mission (NLM) under the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine. Depending on the sizes of farms for goatery, sheep farming, etc., the maximum subsidies are Rs 10 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. For piggery, the range is from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 30 lakh.
