New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu Presents Gallantry Awards

NEW DELHI: President of India Droupadi Murmu presented Gallantry Awards at the Defence Investiture Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of the Vice President and the Prime Minister today. The recipients of the Shaurya Chakra are Major Vijay Verma of the Rajput Regiment, CRPF Deputy Commandant Vikrant Kumar, CRPF Inspector/GD Jeffrey Hmingchullo, IAF's Wing Commander Desmond Keane, Squadron Leader Deepak Kumar of the IAF, Special Investigating Officer Abdul Latif of the J&K Police, Subedar Sanjeev Singh Jasrotia of J&K Rifles, Col. Pawan Singh of the Army Aviation Squadron, Subedar P Pabin Singha of the Regiment of Artillery in 56 Rashtriya Rifles, Major Sahil Randhawa of the Regiment of Artillery in 34 Rashtriya Rifles, Major CVS Nikhil of Parachute Regiment, Major Tripatpreet Singh of the Army Service Corps in 34 Rashtriya Rifles, Lt. Commander Kapil Yadav of AEO INS Vishahkapatnam, Deputy Commandant Lakhveer, Asstt Commandant Rajesh Panchal and CT/GD Malkit Singh of the CRPF,   and others, including posthumous. The president also presented the Kirti Chakra to three others posthumously. (PIB)
