GUWAHATI: In a fresh SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), the Assam government on Tuesday relaxed timing of curfew by one hour from 11 pm to 5 am instead of 10 pm to 5 am.

The timing for opening of offices and business and commercial establishments will be beyond 10 pm, said the SOP issued by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) said.

The timing for functioning of government and private offices and other establishments will be as per usual hours but not beyond 10 pm. The timing for opening of shops and commercial establishments will be up to 10 pm/

The timing for opening of shops dealing with groceries, fruits and vegetables, dairy and milk booths, animal fodder, dine in restaurants, dhabas and other eateries (upto 50 per cent of seat capacity), takeaway of food item from restaurants, dhabas and other eateries will be upto 10 pm, the SOP said.

The timing for opening of sale counter, showrooms of cold storage and warehouses will be upto 10 pm.

The SOP stated that the guidelines issued by the Education Department will be applicable for all government and private run elementary, upper primary, secondary schools, and degree colleges, engineering colleges, polytechnics, teacher training colleges, universities.

The district disaster Management Agencies (FFMAs) will fix the limit of gathering in case of open spacesin case of open space depending on Covid-19 situation.

50 per cent capacity of the hall willbe allowed in case of gathering in closed venues.

Not more than 50 vaccinated persons willl be allowed to attend wedding parties.

60 fully vaccinated persons per hour will be allowed for iconic religious places while 40 fully vaccinated persons per hour will be allowed by puja committees or organizers. Not more than 50 persons will be allowed for funeral or last rites of any individual.

Hotels and restaurants will be allowed to open upto 10 pm.

Delivery of essential goods through e-commerce will be allowed round the clock.

Weekly market or bazars will be allowed to open shift of maximum six hours.

The pharmacies, hospitals, animal care centres and veterinary clics have been allowed to function round the clock.

Cinema hails, theatres will be allowed with 50 per cent of seating capacity of fully vaccinated viewers and observance of Covid-19 appropriate behaviour.

Goods transport shall continue unhindered. All public transport authorities shall enforce COVlD-19 appropriate behavior and seating inside the vehicles, carriers, containers etc.

Auto rickshaws, cycle rickshaws and taxis shall operate for passengers with 100 per cent seating capacity and observance of COVID-19 appropriate behavior for passengers having at least a single dose of vaccine.

Pillion riding on motorcycles may be allowed with at least single vaccinated persons and compulsory wearing of mask.

Intra-district transport, with '100 per cent seating capacity subject to observance of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, shall be allowed for passengers having at least single dose of vaccine.

All inter-district passenger transport and movement shall be allowed with 100 per cent passengers having at least single dose of vaccine subject to observance of COVID-19 appropriate behaviour.
