Nod for ordince to amend Negotiable Instruments Act

New Delhi, Sept 16: The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister rendra Modi has decided to promulgate the Negotiable Instruments (Amendment) Ordince, 2015 to clarify the jurisdictiol issue for filing of cheque dishonour cases. The ordince provides the jurisdiction for filing of cheque dishonour cases will only be a court within whose local jurisdiction the bank branch of the payee where he delivers the cheque for payment is located.
