Notification For First Phase Lok Sabha Election Today

GUWAHATI: Notification for the first phase election on April 11 would be issued on Monday (March 18). The last date for filing of nominations is March 25 and the scrutiny of the nomination papers would be carried out on March 26. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is March 28. Polling will be held on April 11 while the counting of votes would be carried out on May 23. During the first phase, polling will be held in five Parliamentary constituencies – Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kaliabor, Lakhimpur, and Tezpur.
