Notorious car lifter shot dead

Golaghat, Dec 11: A notorious car lifter, who is alleged to have opened tea gardens by stealing vehicles, was killed in a shoot-out with police in Golaghat last night. Kon Bora of Panisokua in Jorhat was shot dead in an encounter hours after a vehicle was stolen from the Golaghat Deputy Commissioner's office premises.
