Panel on ST issue

GUWAHATI, March 14: The Assam Government is going to constitute a committee comprising representatives of six communities to facilitate liaison between them and the governments to expedite the process of according them ST status. At a meeting with the representatives of the six communities on the Assam Legislative Assembly premises on Wednesday, Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal said that a body comprising the representatives of the six communities would ensure seamless communication between the communities, Dispur and New Delhi.
