Remarkable revenue collection by Revenue and Disaster Management

GUWAHATI: The Revenue and Disaster Management (R&DM) Department has made remarkable achievements in revenue collection in the financial year 2022–23 in two components: land revenue and registration.

According to the latest compilation by the department, it collected Rs 917.15 crore in 2022–23. This is Rs 292.82 crore more than the Rs 624.33 crore collected in fiscal 2021–22.

In 2022–23, the department collected Rs 134.50 crore as land revenue, Rs 509 crore as stamp duty, and Rs 273.65 crore as registration fees.

In this financial year, the state government expects a collection of Rs 1437 crore as land revenue and registration fees from the department.
