Sonowal directs CS, DGP to take steps over the abduction of 3 ONGC employees

GUWAHATI: Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressed deep concern over the abduction of three ONGC employees – Mohini Mohan Gogoi of Dimow, Ritul Saikia of Borhola and Alakesh Saikia of Jorhat – from Lakwa in Sivasagar by unidentified miscreants. He held an urgent meeting with Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah and DGP Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta in this regard. ADGP (Law and Order) GP Singh has already reached the area of incident following the Chief Minister's direction and has started investigation, a press release said.
