Sonowal’s directive to ministers

GUWAHATI, Feb 2: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal on Thursday directed that no Minister and Minister of State should appoint any person outside the government in his or her persol staff or any other position where he or she has anything to do with the government. In case, any Minister or Minister of State desires to engage services of any person outside the government, the matter should be placed before the Cabinet. Similarly, all important decisions involving public interest and public policy should also be brought by the Department before the Cabinet, the Chief Minister directed.
