GUWAHATI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had a marathon almost two hour-long meeting in the residence of the Union Home Minister in New Delhi on Monday. Both the leaders discussed the NE boundary issue with special reference to the law and order situation as well as NRC. Among the dignitaries present on the occasion were Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, State Chief Secretary Jishnu Barua. On delimitation of Assembly seats, Sarma said, "The present proposal won't help Assam. Hence, the stakeholders will have to discuss the remaining issues."
