Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid foundations for seven institutions

KOKRAJHAR: In a significant move on the historic celebration of the opening ceremony of the first 'BTR Accord Day' here on Sunday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stones of seven institutions including the second Medical College in BTR in the presence of Chief Minister SarbanandaSonowal, Finance Minister DrHimantaBiswaSarma, Chief Executive Member of BTR Pramod Boro and other dignitaries.

The institutions laid by Shah includes the second Medical College at Tamulpur in Baksa district; the Bodoland Institute of Rural Development at Gossaigaon in Kokrajhar; the Polytechnic and Vocational Training Institute at Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri; BathouHarimapuri at Kumarikhata; the Kheraishali Centre for Bodo Art and Culture with tribal art gallery-cum-museum at Bhergaon in Udalguri; the GorkhaBhawan in Chirang and the 'Culture Complex-cum-Centre for Excellence' in the name of BodofaUpendraNath Brahma at Thulungapuri, Dotma in Kokrajhar.
