Yogi Adityanath to Influence Assam Voters: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi wooed voters with the development card all at the mammoth public rallies in Karimganj, it was for UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to play to the gallery to woo voters.

Yogi addressed three largely-attended public meetings at Joypur, Silchar and Haticherra under Udarbond, Silchar and Borkhola constituencies of Cachar on Tuesday. The rallies were held in support of party candidates – Deepayan Chakraborty, Amalendu Das, and Mihir Kanti Shome.

While Deepayan and Amalendu are participating in their first-ever poll battle, Shome is vying to repeat his feat of 2016.

Yogi Adityanath knew well the demographic, cultural and diverse linguistic and cultural identity spread over Cachar. Keeping these in mind, he reached out to the Tea Tribes by harping on their hard labour while raising the lush green tea bushes in the valleys of the Barak and Brahamputra, which have given Assam its own identity and pride in the world. Saluting them, he offered his heartiest best wishes. He said that both the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and the Sarbananda Sonowal-led government in the State have initiated a number of welfare measures for the tea garden community and changed their socio-economic life. More such measures are in the offing, he added.

Yogi Adityanath assailed the Congress regimes of the State in the past saying that the party encouraged infiltration, separatism with its divisive, self-motivated political interest, thereby encouraging conflict and rift. As a result, development was pushed on the back-burner, he added.

"Leaving behind these scars on the body politic of the State, the Sonowal-led government with its inclusive policy of 'Bikash sabka, nahi koi bhedbhav' (Development without discrimination) has brought back peace and solidarity and paced up development. The tribes, ST, SC and other backward communities no more feel themselves alienated from the mainstream of life. Believing in 'Ek Bhav, Sarvashestha Bhav' (oneness with noblest idea), the State has been witness to the establishment of new medical colleges, ITIs, AIMS, IITs, Khelo India, the latter with record success. The Prime Minister has always vowed for the welfare of 135 crore people of the country."

Yogi Adityanath further said, "What the BJP promises, makes it happen."

He added that the Congress is now riding on the back of AIUDF (All India United Democratic Front) and the Left just to hang on power and again bring back lawlessness, militancy and self-aggrandisement."

He pointed out that Modi, on the other hand, is pushing the agenda of 'Atma Nirbhar Bharat.' Peace and development has changed the very face of the Northeast and Assam, left neglected during decades of Congress regime. Subhash Chandra Bose and Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the great heroes of the country, did not get the respect they deserved. The long-cherished dream of Shyama Prasad was fulfilled when Modi Government scrapped Article 374 to make Jammu and Kashmir an integral part of development, he said.

Yogi Adityanath on Vote for BJP Candidates

"People of Assam asked me during my campaign of Lok Sabha elections of 2019 as to when will the Ram Temple be built"? This became a reality when PM Narendra Modi laid its foundation on August 18, 2020, said Yogi Adityanath. He was happy that people of this valley have contributed to the fund for temple construction. The UP Chief Minister's emotional chord repeatedly evoked "Jai Sree Ram" from the crowd. Yogi Adityanath called upon the voters to vote for BJP candidates to re-elect the Sonowal-led Government for its achievements and most importantly to give a boost to the agenda of development.

Yogi Adityanath was accompanied by Dr Rajdeep Roy, MP and State General Secretary, and the local leaders at all the three venues.
