Why Defence Minister showered praise on Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

GUWAHATI: Known for his thrift in praising anyone, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh showered praise on Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today. And the Defense Minister also justified why he had to laud the Chief Minister to the skies.

At the programme to felicitate the veterans of the Bangladesh Liberation War, time and again, the Defense Minister praised the Assam Chief Minister by using adjectives like 'dynamic, excellent, dedicated' etc. He paused and said – you must be surprised why I am lauding the Assam Chief Minister to the skies. I'm thrifty in praising people. However, the deeds of the Assam Chief Minister compelled me to praise him lavishly. The other Chief Ministers of the Northeast should emulate Himanta Biswa Sarma."
