AGARTALA: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has taken a new initiative to fight corruption in the State administration. He has urged the masses to file complaints directly to him in the WhatsApp number 8794534501. "Whenever harassed by any public servant or any incident of demand for bribe, inform me with evidence; and action will be taken within 24 hours," he said in a message.
In addition to that, the Chief Minister has taken another innovative initiative to establish direct contact with the elderly people of the State and decided to write to all such residents who are above 60-years of age. In the letter, he will seek advices from them in view of the situation arisen due to the coronavirus attack and lockdown. The letters will be distributed to all the elderly people through the panchayat bodies and the self-help groups (SHGs).
