3 COVID DEATHS IN 14 DAYS IN JAMUGURIHAT

As many as three COVID patients have died in Jamugurihat in 14 days. Rinasha Gupta, a resident of Itakhola, Jamugurihat has become the third Covid-19 patient to have succumbed to the virus. She was 45 years old.

Wife of a young business from Jamugurihat, Suresh Gupta, Rinasha was suffering from cough, cold and fever for a few days. She tested positive for the infection on Thursday and was immediately admitted to the Tezpur Medical College. She passed away in just 3 days of being admitted to the hospital.

The first COVID death reported from Jamugurihat in the second wave of COVID was on May 4. Chandra Nath a resident of Jamugurihat was the first COVID casualty. The second person from Jamugurihat to die of COVID was his brother Karuna Nath who died on May 6. The two brothers died in just two days.

With the new fatality, the death toll in Jamugurihat due to COVID has gone up to three. The figure of COVID positive patients has crossed 200 in Jamugurihat. Out of the 203 positive patients, 119 are under medical treatment and others have overcome the infection. A total of 114 patients are undergoing home isolation while 5 are under medical treatment in hospitals.
