Assam Govt’s Laika Dodhia Relocation Plan Faces Stiff Opposition

Even as Assam government is working towards reresettling the people of Laika and Dodhia villages of Dibru Saikhowa National Park, stiff opposition seem to be building up. Several groups and organisations of Lakhipathar area came together on Friday (February 5) to warn the government and the people of Laika-Dodhia from settling in Auguri and Mamorni villages which fall in the Lakhipathar forest area of Digboi.
