Assam joined the World Rhino Day celebrations on Thursday, with a pledge to make the people on this planet aware of the need to save the rhinos.
Rhino experts in many countries have been talking of a slew of measures to protect the animal. These include the observance of World Rhino Day to save the entire Five Rhino Species Forever--the theme of the Day in 2022. Focus falls on Assam on the World Rhino Day, since the state is known to be the abode of one- horned rhinos. Rhino poaching poses no less a threat to the existence of the one- horned rhinos in Assam.
