Assam's Forest Department carried out an operation on the Assam- Meghalaya Border. Two buffaloes were confiscated during the drive. These animals were used for pulling and transporting illegally cut trees by the miscreants of the region. The incident took place in the West Karbi Anglong district of Assam. Confiscated animals were bought to the Kheroni Forest office. Miscreants involved in the illegal trade of timber managed to flee from the location before the team arrived.
