Annoyed over the dilapidated condition of the rural roads in Koroighat under Dhansiri Subdivision connecting Sarupathar to Golaghat

Annoyed over the dilapidated condition of the rural roads in Koroighat under Dhansiri Subdivision connecting Sarupathar to Golaghat, residents of the area staged a protest to draw attention of the authorities to the 7 km long stretch in the Assam-Nagaland border area. Residents blamed the local MLA of 94-Sarupathar Constituency and PWD authorities for the condition of the road. Its been almost 8 years that the condition of the road has not improved. Around 600 dumpers ply on this route daily carrying stones from the Dayang river which has further destroyed the road. A resident lamented that due to the worst condition of the rural roads there is no 108 ambulance service in the area.
