Along with the rest of the state, the Boro community people celebrated Baishagu festival on Sunday at Boro Bhatarmari village in Kokrajhar.
Kokrajhar Rongjali Baishagu celebration committee and Bineshwar Brahma Baishagu celebration committee organized the Baishagu festival.
Speaking to the media, an organizer said, "We celebrate Rongali Bihu every year. This year we are celebrating the festival by following Covid-19 protocols. We have organized various competitions also, such as art competitions, dance competitions, etc. We feel very happy today. The celebration will end at 6 p.m, following Covid-19 protocols.
Baishagu is the major festival celebrated by the Bodo community. This festival is observed at the beginning of the first month of the Boro year, in April.
