Baithalangso Celebrates Magh Bihu

The Bodo community of Majborpathar village in West Karbi Anglong's Boithalangso joined in in the celebrations of Magh Bihu. Singing, dancing and feasting is how they spent the Uruka night (night of January 13). Uruka is celebrated on the night of the last day of Poh month (Poush) when people gather for community or family feasts at night. Magh Bihu is being celebrated throughout Assam across communities and tribes. People sang and danced to the tune of Bodo songs and they also performed Bodo traditional dance bagarumba around the bonfire.
