CPI (M) Protest Against Govt Policies

Along with other parts of Assam, CPI (M) supporters staged a protest in Dibrugarh on Monday. The protest was against the government's 'irrelevant' laws like changes made to the Labour Law and government's handling of Baghjan blowout and fire incident, putting Dehing-Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary and Dibru-Saikhowa National Park at risk and alleged corruption in PM Kisan Yojana. The leaders submitted a 7-point demand note to Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. Protest held in Naharkatia under Dibrugarh district.
