Several physically disabled people were seen casting their vote in Phase 1 of the Assam elections.
The Elections Commission along with the district administrations has made special arrangements to ensure the physically challenged and old voters do not face any problem. There is a total of 1, 38,290 people with disabilities who are part of the voters in Assam. Security arrangements have been strengthened and COVID-19 protocols put in polling stations.
