Employee beaten up for asking salary in Tezpur

A man was beaten up by the Managing Director of a company where he was working. The reason why he was beaten up? For asking his salary.

The case has been reported in a private company, HL Appliances at Tezpur.

According to the report, the man used to work at the HL company but didn't get salary. On Tuesday, when he went to collect his remaining salary after resigning the office, the company's MD and other employees allegedly began beating him.

The victim has been identified as Pritam Kumar Basumatary.

He has filled an FIR at Tezpur police station.

Speaking to the media, Pritam Kumar Basumatary said, "I have worked for this company, but didn't get salary. Today I came to the office to collect my remaining salary but company's MD and other employees started beating me."
