Fact finding team on way back to Assam sans Joymala

The fact finding team from Assam on Monday finally visited Joymala, the elephant from the state currently languishing at a temple in Tamil Nadu.The team is preparing its report to be submitted to the authorities before the Gauhati High Court on September 28. The temple authorities were found cordial and cooperative. Immediately after arriving in Tamil Nadu, the authorities escorted the team led by additional princial chief conservator of forests Hridesh Mishra, to Srivilliputhur temple where the elephant was visited. Earlier, the temple authorities disallowed a 2 member team from visiting the elephant forcing the state government to move the court.
