Fuel, LPG Price Hike Bleeding the Common Man

A double whammy for the common man. It has been a bad Thursday (February 4) as not just the prices of petrol and diesel have gone up but price of non-subsidised or commercial LPG cylinder too has been hiked by Rs 25 per cylinder. In Guwahati, petrol became dearer by Rs 0.26 paisa per litre. It is selling at Rs 89.26 a litre. Per litre price of diesel has been raised by Rs 0.3 paisa. It is selling for Rs 82.96 a litre in the city. This constant hike in prices have left the people fuming, many even saying that it would be better if people moved back to the days of using wood for cooking and bicycles, bullock carts for commuting.
