Future at Stake for Employees of NECF

Amid the raging controversy regarding allowing coal mining in Dehing-Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary, the Northeastern Coalfields, a unit of Coal India, explained how the location where mining is happening now is far from the Saleki Elephant Reserve and the elephant corridor.

While there has been widespread protests against the alleged approval for mining in land that is in the Wildlife area, employees of Northeastern Coalfields are a worried lot because this entire controversy is putting their livelihood and future at stake.
