Himanta Biswa Sarma Visits temples Before being Sworn-In as 15th Assam CM

Himanta Biswa Sarma offered prayers at Satras and temples before being sworn in as the 15th CM of Assam on Monday morning.

Sarma visited the Ishwar Sri Sri Hati Satra in his constituency Jalukbari. He offered prayers and sought the blessings of the people of his constituency.

Sarma then visited the Doul Gobinda temple in North Guwahati, then he visited Kamakhya temple and sought blessings from Goddess.

Prayers were also offered at Poa Mecca in Hajo for good health and a successful term of Sarma.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra following all COVID protocol.

Sarma's mother Mrinalini Devi, a well-known writer and his wife Riniki Bhuyan Sarma along with their son and daughter were present at the swearing-in ceremony.
