Inquiry Set Up into Death of GMCH Doctor Rupesh Kejriwal

Gauhati Medical College and Hospital has set up an inquiry into the death of Dr Rupesh Kejriwal, a neuro surgeon at the GMCH. Dr Kejriwal had met with an accident on February 5 when his motorcycle was hit by some unknown vehicle. Dr Kejriwal had sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to GNRC Hospital first and then he was shifted to GMCH. He died at GMCH. Speaking to the media, Superintendent of GMCH Dr Abhijit Sarma said that they want to know is responsible for the death of Dr Kejriwal, was there any lapses or any negligence in his treatment. The inquiry has been set up amid questions being asked about the type of treatment meted out to Dr Kejriwal.
