Manipur's Loktak Lake Witnesses First Floating Photo Exhibition

Manipur is hosting its first ever floating photo exhibition on the Loktak Lake for 3 days from September 21.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, got off to a colourful start on a floating platform on the Lake, with Cultural items making it even more colourful.

More than 85 Manipuri language photographic creatives of 'Eight Years of Seva, Sushasan, Garib Kalyan' and creatives of 11 unsung Manipuri freedom fighters are being displayed in the exhibition.

Union minister RK Ranjan Singh, while opening the exhibition at a solemn ceremony on Thursday, said that the Centre would like to include the names of at least 100 freedom fighters from the north east region in a composite history of the freedom struggle.
