OIL CMD REQUESTS PEOPLE OF ASSAM TO STAND BY THEM

OIL CMD says they should be able to douse the fire in the next 20 days. Due to immense heat generated, OIL & ONGC experts have not been able to go closer to the burning well. They went up to 50 metres today. Large quantity of water being arranged to contain the fire. Jobs on compensatory basis to be given to next of kin of the two deceased OIL employees.
