Rhino Horn Smuggler Caught, Horns Selling for Rs 70 Lakh Each

In a major breakthrough for the forest department of Biswanath, Assam, a joint operation by Arunachal Pradesh Police and Assam Police helped nab a rhino horn smuggler from Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh. The illegal rhino horn smuggler who is part of a larger gang operating out of Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh, has been a key player in selling at least six rhino horns since 2019, each fetching them at least Rs 70 lakh. The smuggler revealed that several local people have been helping him in getting the rhino horns.
