BJP's East Sonitpur District Yuva Morcha former President Rahul Jain died on Tuesday night at a Guwahati hospital after he was allegedly attacked at Jamugurihat on March 25. He was seriously injured in the attack. He succumbed to his injuries.
Sootea constituency's MLA Padma Hazarika and other party workers paid tributes to Jain.
Speaking to the media, Padma Hazarika said, "We paid tribute to Rahul Jain. My condolences to his family. He was allegedly attacked on March 25. He was seriously injured. Due to severe injury, he died. He died in political violence. Will see to it that the matter is investigated and the culprits are booked."
