TAYPA Demands Cabinet Ministers in Assam Council of Ministers from Ahom Community

The Tai Ahom Yuba Parishad Assam (TAYPA) has demanded Cabinet berths for BJP candidates who won the recently concluded Assam elections and are from the Tai Ahom community.

Addressing a press meet on Tuesday at Naharkatiya TAYPA central committee president Bijay Rajkonwar demanded the appointment of two cabinet ministers representing the Tai Ahom community.

Bijay Rajkonwar during the press meet stated that BJP's seven candidates from Tai Ahom community have won from their respective constituencies. The central BJP committee should provide 2 cabinet ministry portfolios to any of these 7 winners for the development of Tai Ahom community.

TAYPA also congratulated all new members of the 15th Assam Legislative Assembly.
