Tribal Organisations Put Forward Demands On Land Issues Under Mission Basundhara 2.0

An important meeting was held by All Assam Tribal Sangha, Tribal Sahitya Sabha and Tribal Autonomous Councils. Meeting held with Sangha president Sukumar Basumatary in the chair

Subjects included enjoyment of land rights, land documents, changing category etc under Mission Basundhara 2.0. Demands were placed before the govt for land documents for 50 Bighas of ancestral land under Basundhara 2.0. Conversion of Jal Duba or land under water to Myadi land and also Myadi patta for Gram Sabha patta land

Demanded conversion of 'Debutter' and Satra land in tribal areas into Myadi patta land

In case of VGR/PGR land, demand to register entire land under occupation of applicant instead of 1 bigha. Land survey demanded in areas where cadastral survey not done, to enable application in Mission Basundhara before March 31, 2023. Land documents to tribal Ryoti farmers, where Ryoti registration in missing. Several other demands were discussed and forwarded to the state government
