Assam Cabinet’s Decision: SOP On Use Of Lethal Weapons Along Border
The Assam Cabinet which met in New Delhi on Wednesday condemned the firing incident in Mukroh firing along the Assam- Meghalaya border and expressed its deepest sympathy to the bereaved family members, besides directing the Home Department to prepare an SOP on using lethal weapons in vulnerable situations along inter-state border areas.
M’laya CM Conrad Sangma Visits Mukroh, Pays Ex-gratia
Just as the situation is still tensed along the Assam-Meghalaya border after the Mukroh firing, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and his cabinet colleagues visited the Mukroh village and met the next of kin of the five villagers killed in police firing and handed over ex-gratia of Rs. 5 lakh to the next of kin of each of the five deceased villagers.
