SHIVA THAPA
An Indian boxer from Guwahati, Assam. He was the first boxer to book Rio 2016 Olympics berth and was the only third Indian to win a bronze medal at the AIBA World Boxing championship in 2015. He ranked 3rd in the bantamweight category in the AIBA Men's World Ranking. He is the third Indian to clinch Gold at the Asian Games.
MANGTE CHUNEIJUNG MARY KOM
Popularly known as Mary kom, born in Manipur. She is the only female to make a six times winning record of World Amateur Boxing Championship and the only female boxer to win a medal in each of the total seven world championships. The first Indian woman boxer to win a Gold Medal in the Asian Games in 2014 and is also the first Indian woman boxer to win gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She has also been felicitated with Padma Bhushan, Arjuna Award, Padma Shri, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award
LOVLINA BORGOHAIN
She hails from Assam’s Golaghat district. Indian amateur woman boxer who won bronze medal at the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships for two consecutive time. In 2020, she became the sixth person from Assam to receive Arjuna Award.
JAMUNA BORO
From Sonitpur District of Assam. She won a bronze medal at the 2019 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships held in Ulan-Ude. She also won a gold medal at the 23rd President's Cup 2019 Boxing International Open Tournament held in Indonesia.
LAISHRAM SARITA DEVI
Sarita Devi from Manipur. She is a former world champion as well as a national champion in the lightweight division. Won a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games, held in Incheon. Secured a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games of 2014, held in Glasgow. Won gold medals at the 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2010 Asian Championships, held in Hisar, Kaohsiung City, Guwahati and, Astana respectively. She was awarded Arjuna award by the government of India for her achievements.
DINGKO SINGH
He is a professional boxer from the state of Manipur. Dingko credited a gold medal for India at the Bangkok Asian Games of the year 1998.Entitled as the "Best Boxer" of 1997 King’s Cup meet.Honoured with the most prestigious Arjuna Award in 1998and Padma Shri in 2013.
DEVENDRO SINGH LAISHRAM
Born on March 2, 1992 in Imphal, Devendro Singh is an Indian boxer who competes in the light-flyweight division.Won a silver medal at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games in the light flyweight category. Earned the first place at the 2015 Doha International Tournament in the 49 kg weight category. Arjuna Award for Boxing and Vishisht Seva Medal at an investiture ceremony at the Eastern Army Headquarters
ANKUSHITA BORO
An Indian amateur woman boxer from the state of Assam, who won gold medal at the 2017 AIBA Youth Women's World Boxing Championships. She also earned a bronze medal in the National Youth Championship, 2017.
SARJUBALA DEVI
Indian woman boxer from Manipur represented India at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She is referred to as the next Mary Kom. She also won the Best Boxer award at the 7th Youth Women National Championship in Patiala.
