Born in March 1, 1975, Pramod Boro belonged to an economically weak farmer family at Sauraguri village in Tamulpur, Baksa
Mr. Pramod Boro studied at his village, completed his matriculation from Tamulpur High School and later shifted to Guwahati for higher education
Suffering from family’s financial crisis, he was forced to leave his college midway.
Pramod Boro supported his family by working in the coal mines in Meghalaya.
Pramod Boro later took admission at the Rangia College and completed his graduation in 1994
Being active in student politics, he was elected as the President of Kamrup Committee of ABSU, the AGS, the Vice President, and later as the President of the ABSU State Students’ body in 2009.
ABSU under Pramod Boro led effective campaigns for the educational growth of the Bodo community across Assam, especially for Bodo Medium schools.
As the President he dedicated in bringing lasting peace in the region, leading the ABSU observe the Arms and Violence Free Society on its foundation day on 15th February 2009.
When the UPA government announced a separate state of Telangana, Pramod Boro started a mass movement for the "State of Bodoland" in Kajalgaon Rural Stadium
On January 27, 2020, Pramod Boro alongwith the representatives of Bodo organisations signed the third landmark Bodo Accord with the Government of India and the State of Assam, to bring a new administrative Bodo governance
After a term of 11 years in students’ politics, Pramod Bodo left ABSU on February 2020; and soon joined the UPPL as the party's president.
Pramod Boro lead the UPPL in the recently held 2020 BTC polls and won 12 seats in the polls, tying with the BJP
UPPL entered in a post poll alliance with BJP and Naba Sarania's GSP, and now the ex-student leader is all set to become the new CEM of BTC
