Another Accusation Surfaces in Bajali Corruption Case: Hrishikesh Das Interrogated

GUWAHATI: In a startling turn of events within the ongoing Bajali corruption case in Assam, fresh allegations have arisen involving another individual. Recent reports reveal that Hrishikesh Das has been implicated in the case and is currently under investigation by the Crime Investigation Department (CID) in Guwahati.

Hrishikesh Das was summoned to the CID headquarters for questioning regarding his alleged involvement in the corruption scandal. The developments come on the heels of an already intricate case involving high-ranking officials and supari businessman Rabiul Islam.

Furthermore, a specialized team from the Assam CID made a significant visit to the Directorate of Forensic Science in Guwahati's Kahilipara. This team was accompanied by Bajali Superintendent of Police Siddhartha Buragohain, along with Rabiul Islam and two other individuals who have also been accused in this complex case.

The CID's primary objective during this visit was to conduct voice analysis tests on Siddhartha Buragohain and Rabiul Islam separately. These tests aim to gather crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation. Following the tests, both individuals are expected to appear in court, where the CID will present its findings and substantiate the case with concrete facts.

In a significant breakthrough on the previous day, the CID team successfully retrieved a MacBook during a thorough search operation at the residence of Kishore Baruah, who is suspected of being a linkman in this case. The MacBook is anticipated to contain vital information that could shed light on the alleged corruption.

The core accusation revolves around Siddhartha Buragohain, the Superintendent of Police in Bajali, who is alleged to have demanded two MacBooks from Rabiul Islam, a prominent supari businessman. This demand for electronic devices has drawn widespread attention and forms a crucial aspect of the investigation.
