On Thursday night, a guy from Assam was unexplainably discovered dead in Meghalaya. The deceased man, Mintu Bora, is said to have been from the Kohuatoli neighbourhood in Batadrava, which is part of the Nagaon district.

In order to start a new job at a cement company, Mintu travelled to Meghalaya three days ago with his brother-in-law. At his company-allocated quarters in Meghalaya, his lifeless body was discovered last night. His cause of death has not yet been determined. The murder, according to Mintu's relatives, was carried out by the brother-in-law.  The incident has been reported to the police. Further information is awaited.

Due to the recent spate of reported missing person instances, finding a good job outside of Assam has become a nightmare.

According to police, a lady from Assam, 34, was allegedly sexually assaulted by a "friend" in a car at Hero Honda Chowk on March 30. The woman, an employee of a private company, claimed that she had been speaking on the phone with Sandeep, the accused, over the course of the previous few days.

Sandeep, 40, offered to pick her up from Hero Honda Chowk on Monday as she was leaving her Sector 37 office, according to the police. According to the woman's complaint to police, "I sat in his car, and after talking for a while, he raped me in the car and also threatened to murder me." Sandeep, a resident of Jhajjar, was booked on Wednesday under multiple IPC sections and he was taken into custody on Thursday.
