Nearly 60 cases were detected in the area and three places were found to be highly sensitive, namely Gameri Bazaar area, Ram Mandir area and near Gameri MV School. As a preventive measure, the administration declared the whole area as containment zone with the boundaries as such-Eastside-Tulshi Borah (Gadhariabasti ward no. 1), Westside-Ferryghat (Puranaburoi, ward no. 6), Northside-Bhojraj Bhandari's house (Dighalipather ward no. 1), Southside- From Gameri centre (Lagan Chetry shop) and from Gameri MV School to Bhola centre (Nepalipather).
