World Education Summit: Numaligarh Teachers Receive Award

Numaligarh: Dr Shekharjyoti Seal and Kalpana Shekhar Borah, Principal and Headmistress respectively of Akshara Global Gurukul, Numaligarh, participated in the 14th World Education Summit held in New Delhi recently.

Dr Shekhar joined the forum as speaker and expressed his views about the importance of skill development and vocational training in school curriculum. He received the teacher’s glory award under ‘Excellence in instructional leadership’ for his managing capabilities and strong leadership skills. Kalpana Shekhar Borah also received the teacher’s glory award under ‘Head teacher of the year in primary school’ for her innovative ideas in teaching the primary students.

The event was attended by the representatives of eight countries and education ministers, scholars, dignitaries and high commissioners of 17 States.
