New AEGCL chairman Maninder Singh appointed

GUWAHATI: Maninder Singh, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of Assam, Sports and Youth Welfare, Cooperation and Tourism departments, who superannuated today, was re-employed by the government. He has been appointed as the chairman of Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL).

On the other hand, Niraj Verma, IAS, has been relieved from the charge of AEGCL chairman. Verma is the Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Home and Political, Personnel and Power departments and also the Additional Principal Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi.
