Moran is a town in the district of Dibrugarh of the Indian State of Assam which is located at 27.18N and 94.93E. it is an industrial town and has major oil fields and is a great contributor of tea producing areas. It is a part of the Dibrugarh Lok Sabha Constituency.

Chakradhar Gogoi of BJP party won the Vidhan Sabha Election in 2016 with the maximum number of votes and the runner up was Paban Singh Ghatowar of the INC party with 54571 votes.
