The name of Rupahi Constituency is Rupohihat Assembly Constituency and its constituency No. is 85. It forms a part of Kaliabor Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency.

The Parliamentary Constituencies in India is 542 and among them, the seats for the general category are 441 and for SC and ST the seats are 84 and 47 respectively. Rupahi is a township under Nagaon region, Assam, India. Nagaon district is an authoritative district. Its headquarter is at Nagaon. To the Northern region of Nagaon, the mighty Brahmaputra and Sonitpur district is located while towards South there is Karbi Anglong region and the beautiful hills of North Cachar and towards the East there are Golaghat and East Karbi Anglong.

In the Assembly Election of 2016 Rupohihat constituency had 167685 electors. Amongst them, the overall valid voters was 152895. In the 2016 Assembly Election, INC candidate Nurul Huda won the MLA seat, with 72627 votes and became MLA, whereas AIUDF candidate Nurul Amin Chowdhury was the runner-up with 50783 votes. Therefore he lost the MLA seat by 21844 votes.
