Bhupen Ray from Abhayapuri North: Early Life, Controversy & Political Career

Early Life:

Bhupen Ray is the son of Late Dwijen Roy. He is 57 years old and is a resident of Tulungia, North Salmarain Bongaigaon district. He was married to Late Jeauti Roy.

Educational Qualifications:

He is B.A. passfrom Abhayapuri College in 1988.

Career and Political Life:

Bhupen Ray is four times MLA of Abhayapuri North. He won 1991, 1996, 2001 and 2011 Assam Assembly elections from Abhayapuri North as an AGP candidate. He lost the 2016Assam Assembly elections to Abdul Hai Nagori of Indian National Congress. Ray is contesting the Assam Assembly elections for the sixth time from Abhayapuri North on an AGP ticket.
