Early Life:
Hitesh Basumatary is the son of Lundra. He is 51 years old, resident of Ambari, Belguri, Baksa.
Education:
He is Class 12 (Higher Secondary) pass from Mushalpur College in the year 1993.
Career and Political Life:
In the 2011 Assam Assembly elections, Hitesh Basumatary of BPF won the Chapaguri seat defeating Tijen Basumatary of AGP by a margin of 51,922 votes. He served as the Executive Member of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in charge of Irrigation department.
He is going to contest the Assam Assembly Election 2021 on a Bodoland People's Front (BPF) ticket for the second time.
