Jyotish Das's Biography

Early Life

Jyotish Das is the son of Late Paramananda Das. He is 61 years old and a resident of Buducharvillage, Matia in Goalpara.

Education

Jyotish Das completed M.Phil from Gauhati University in the year 1990.

Career and Politics

He is a pensioner and has no criminal charge against him. He is contesting the Assam Assembly election 2021 as an Assam Gana Parishad(AGP) candidate from the Goalpara East constituency. He had won the seat in 1996 on an AGP ticket. In 2011 elections, he came second losing to AIUDF's Monowar Hussain.

His movable assets are worth Rs.50.19 lakhs which include25 grams of gold, two four-wheelers and a few LIC policies. His immovable assets include non-agricultural land worth Rs. 50 lakhs and his residential building with an approximate market value of Rs.28.32 lakhs.
