Mira Borthakur Goswami is the wife of Dhrubajyoti Goswami. She is 48 years old and is a resident of Pragati Path, Ghoramora, Beltola Guwahati.She is married toDhrubajyoti Goswamiwho is a businessman by profession.

Educational Qualifications:

She is B.A. from Nowgong College in the year 1994.

Career and Political Life:

She is a self-employed businesswoman by profession. She is a former spokesperson of the BJP. She was expelled from BJP in 2018 for anti-party activities. She joined Congress in January this year (2021). She is contesting the Assam Assemblyelections 2021 as a Congress candidate from the Gauhati West constituency.

There are 3 cases against her are registered at Dhemaji, Gogamukh and Silapathar police stations. She has been booked under Section 500 of IPC (punishment for defamation), Section 120B of IPC (punishment of criminal conspiracy), Section 294 of IPC (charges related to Obscene acts and songs) and Section 153 (giving provocation with intent to cause rioting).
